Sakura (four-year-old female)
“We took this photo during a trip to a town about 30 minutes away by car when we paused for a break on a wide grassy field. Akita dogs are famous even in Italy, and many people in town stop to talk to us. Akita dogs are dignified, calm, and carry an air of majesty. We are proud to live with a Japanese dog.”

Otoki (two-year-old male)
“We took a walk in Showa Memorial Park, a national park in Tokyo. The park is very spacious, with a dog run and plenty of other dog owners walking their pets. On our way home, we had this photo taken by a photographer. One of my favorite photos is capturing my Akita dog in a proud and gallant pose. It makes me want to show him off, even though he’s my own pet.”

“I took this photo during our stay at the Hokuonomori Auto Campground in Kitaakita City. While out for an evening walk, we were greeted by a stunning sunset. Both ‘the pups’ and we love this campground.”

Taro (two-year-old male)
“His outfit was way too tight, and he just froze in place…”
