This plan is part of a large-scale winter tourism campaign jointly organized by Akita Prefecture and the JR Akita Branch. Under the theme “Akita Highlights Plan,” four unique courses are available: Akita Dog, Japanese Sake, Akita Beauties, and Akita Delicacies.
As per the hotel’s staff, the Akita Inu Course stands out as the most sought-after among the four unique courses. Its charm has been attracting families with children and Akita dog enthusiasts, drawing people nationwide.
Upon entering the room, guests are greeted by endearing Akita dog plush toys in a relaxed pose, and cushions featuring a dog’s adorable face. Even the mugs are adorned with Akita dog illustrations. As part of the package, guests receive complimentary items such as magnets, clear files, and drip coffee bags, adding a touch of delight to their stay.
The staff commented, “We hope guests feel comforted by the Akita dog goods, and we’re happy if this becomes an opportunity for them to take an interest in Akita.”
The other courses offer perks like tickets for tasting different Japanese sake, cosmetics made with sake, and popular Akita confections.
