Rin (six-year-old female)
My wife and I visited Akita Prefecture to see the Akita Dog Preservation Society’s Headquarters Exhibition, while Rin, our beloved six-year-old female, stayed home with our son. Usually, she turns away when I point a camera at her, but she posed with a smile on this day, which was unusual for her! My son sent the photos to us. My wife and I had a great trip, meeting many Akita dogs and enjoying delicious food! (Manabu Shirota, Urasoe City, Okinawa Prefecture)
Tenseimaru Taikai (nicknamed as Tenten, three-year-old male)
I took this picture in May at a river in my neighborhood. The river was adorned with beautiful carp streamers, a traditional Japanese symbol of Children’s Day, which added a festive touch to the scene. It is a perfect picture with a blue sky, Tenten, and the carp streamers. (Haruhiko Saito, Yachiyo City, Chiba Prefecture) *Aged 1 when photographed.
