Noshiro Kojuso is a kennel specializing in Akita dogs in Noshiro City, Akita Prefecture. We learned that the puppies born between June and August of this year are growing up fast and healthily. After all the dogs in the kennel finished eating their dog food, it’s time for the puppies to have a second round of “milk time”. Dog mother’s breast milk is an important food for puppies to build up their immunity against various diseases.
Here are seven puppies born on August 12. Although they look just like stuffed dolls, they are absolutely real puppies. For most of the time they are sleeping soundly. But one will never get tired of watching them in their dreams. Besides, if you keep watching closely, you would be able to spot them yawning with their little mouths wide open from time to time. Even though they are merely small puppies, they have such an enormous vitality to fight harder than others.
Perhaps due to this year’s heat, “the production of breast milk is poor,” said Mr. Motose, the representative of the kennel. Even if the babies are born on the same day, there is a gradual difference in size between those who were able to drink a lot and those who were not able to drink much. In such cases, he would help the puppies who drank less to drink while the puppies who drank a lot were sleeping.
